noise playing through sub

Hey all. I have an issue i've not heard of before. I hooked up an amp/sub for a friend. The car, a 2024 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 everything else was kept stock so I had to use a LOC. The car doesnt have rear deck speakers so I had to tap a rear door speaker. Everything plays as it should except when they work the electric door locks, the sound "plays" through the sub. I didnt knick or in any way expose any other wires from the door. I went in today and redid the whole thing. It still does it. Has anyone ever had this that can tell me what to do to fix this. I've hooked up many stereos and a few using LOCs and I've never ran into this issue before. Alternator whine, sure. But not door lock clunk which is exactly what it sounds like

My first thought is maybe the sound is artificial to make the locking sound sound louder. Disconnect the sub and listen closely to the rear door speaker while locking.

Lol, sad to say but this sounds plausible. A nice solid thunk for power locks is always a good sign

Also is the loc in the door (so low level RCAs may be close to the lock solenoid) or are you running from the speaker with the loc near the amp?

The LOC is near the amp.

Cool. Can you unplug the door lock solenoid and check if the sound goes away?

Ground or gain is my guess.

Could very well be the LOC or RCAs. I had something similar happen with my friend's setup, turns out the RCAs were picking up the sound, we swapped them and it went away. His subs popped whenever the locks were actuated.
